Program Committee
Our Chapter programs have been admired for ages! Education is what CSI San Francisco Chapter is all about, and we have a fine group of people on the Program Committee working hard to bring you programs that will pique your interest, expand your technical knowledge, teach you something new, and give you an opportunity to meet new people and also have some fun with your learning experience.
PROGRAM TRACKS: To make sure that we stay focused on giving our Chapter a diverse selection of educational options, we have four Program Tracks:
- TOURS: We try to do at least two construction/architectural tours each year. They are wildly popular, and we find that both members and non-members really enjoy the opportunity to see the construction process up close and personal.
- CODES: You ask and we deliver. In the member responses to our Spring 2005 Member Survey, many of you asked for more programs about codes. The upcoming revisions to Title 24, new energy efficiency standards, clean air requirements – all of these topics are important to our work.
- DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION: Even though our prime directive is technical subject matter, we all enjoy having the designers come to present case study information about Bay Area buildings. We also want to bring programs this year that focus on the economic issues, including cost estimating and economic forecasts.
- SUSTAINABLE DESIGN: We want to help our members stay ahead of the market evolution to sustainable design. Last year we had a packed house for the panel on the California EPP Program. This year we are going to present part two of that program and give you an update on what’s happening with the California Department of General Services Product Standards program.
TABLE TOP POLICY: We welcome manufacturer’s representatives who want to set up a table top during the social hour when we have a monthly meeting at our regular venue. See our Table Top Policy for more information and contact our Program Chair if you want to participate.
SPEAKER GUIDELINES: If you are interested in presenting to our Chapter, please review our Speaker Guidelines to see if your program fits our educational needs and contact our Program Chair.
