Water: California’s Demanding Resource

Speaker: Matthew Heberger, Pacific Institute

We all take for granted that wonderful, clean, ever-present resource that we can’t live without – WATER.  Please join us for an eye-opening presentation by Matthew Heberger of the Pacific Institute as he discusses the evolution of water in California, the current outlook for our water resources and the proposals by our state officials to various State bond issues to insure the future availability of water for our farmers, industries and city dwellers.

Matthew Heberger is a professional engineer and a senior staff member of the Pacific Institute that has a focus on water resources.  The Pacific Institute is one of the world’s leading independent non-profits conducting research and advocacy on the related and pressing issues of environmental degradation, poverty and political conflict.
